My family just took in the remake of Disney’s “The Lion King.” I’d read some mixed reviews before hand. (Why mess with the perfection of the animation? Scar doesn’t look the same. Beyonce rules.) So, I entered the theatre feeling a little apprehensive that I would ruin memories. After all, “The Lion King” is a much loved family classic in our home. However, my worries had been wasted. The new “The Lion King” is wonderful.
The new movie certainly pays homage and respect to the original, and the original songs. But the “live” animal CGI effects are wonderful. Disney has really knocked it out of the park with this movie. Because even with the retelling of a familiar tale, this new movie feels like it’s taking you on a slightly different journey than the original. We are not visiting the cartoon version of Africa. This time it feels like we’re in Africa.

This week, I had a great show with G Adventures .
G Adventures & National Geographic Journeys partnered with Lush Life Travel for a great info session about their style of travels and types of trips.
My business development manager Laurent Pinci joined us to share their top 10 destinations (including South Africa, Peru, Morocco, Costa Rica, Thailand, Italy, and more); and took us through their different styles of travel (such as National Geographic Journeys, Classic, Marine, Local Living, Active, and more.)
We also gave an overview of their "travel for good" Planeterra programs, with both me and several clients chiming in on their experiences with G Adventures.
I just had a small group return from an Explore Machu Picchu group, and they had a wonderful time. So at the presentation, we had a brief chat about some future small group trips we may take this coming year. Perhaps South Africa with G Adventures is in your future? Maybe Morocco? Machu PIcchu? India? Thailand? We're still gathering info and thoughts, so please let me know if this might interest you.
