How are you? Surviving the week? Wow, things are getting worse south of the border. I hope my American friends and colleagues stay safe. And I hope my Canadian friends start to explore our great country as soon as we're able.

I have.
Flying over the #greatbarrierreef when I was on a #seeAustralia trip was one such moment for me .
I had no idea of the size and scope of the reef - until I spent an hour flying over it, on a small plane trip rom Cairns to @lizardisland resort. I kept pinching myself - this was the Great Barrier Reef. And I was lucky enough to score a window seat on the prop plane.
If I wasn’t a supporter of #sustainabletourism before that flight, I certainly became one during the flight. I was gob-smacked to see how big and how vibrant this living reef was. It was astonishing. And to think man was damaging it was horrifying. It result was a natural wonder that deserved respect and protection.

River cruising will become even more popular than it has been in the past. Here's a news article that shows bookings are up 30% in 2021.
There's already a pent up demand to travel - especially on ships with an average of 150 people onboard. So, folks with bookings cancelled in 2020 have rebooked, and others are looking at river cruising. These are small ships with intimate experiences, that have you getting off the ship every day in a small historic port. You can understand why several river cruise lines are already 70% out for
2021.
So, in this week's river cruise corner, I'll invite you to watch an AMA Waterways river cruise I'd attended with my partners at this terrific river cruise company. Kristin Karst of AMA Waterways with TV host Leslie Sbrocco - learn more about wines (especially France regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy) and have a watch .
