Have you met someone who had inspired you, and you felt a little gobsmacked?
I met @simonsinek at a #virtuosotravel week opening session, after he’d been the keynote speaker at our opening session.
I’d read Simon’s book, Start With Why, and it really resonated with me.
People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. It’s a very powerful book, and made such a difference to how I think about my travel business, and the clients I serve.
I just did a @virtuosoltd professional development course with @brantmenswar , and one of his exercises gave me a better reframe of my “why”.
I believe life gives you opportunities for CASES - and you have to grab the ring.
My “why” is CASES.
C - stands for CONNECTION
A - stands for ADVENTURE
S - stands for SERENITY
E - stands for EXCELLENCE
S - stands for SUCCESS
I realize this is my why - it’s the ‘why’ behind my living my best life, it’s the ‘why’ I am passionate about my travel career, and it’s the ‘why’ behind helping my clients explore the world.

Virtual Virtuoso Travel Week is a Wrap

Virtual @virtuosoltd Travel Week is a wrap.
I'll share more details next week, after I've had a chance to go through all of my notes and reflect on everything I've learned.
But one thing is for sure. While there were no Elvis impersonators, or hallway hugs this year - but we had an amazing online event!
I can’t believe we gathered over 4000 people from 100 countries online for four days for virtual Virtuoso travel week. I’m amazed it all came together so incredibly well!
I participated in over 100 ten- minute one-on-one networking meetings with travel colleagues in Australia, South Africa, Peru, Italy, France, and more. I attended professional development sessions, and also completed various destination training- as well as attended morning "jump start" and some pop up sessions. We had talks on sustainability, an address by Prince Albert and another by Geoffrey Kent- and a blowout closing ceremonies keynote address by Sheila Johnson. We even had a selfie
station, and a live stream disco party!
Wow, Virtuoso Travel - way to go! #virtuosotravel week was a success!
Now I can hardly wait to put all of those connections together to help my clients with their next travel adventure. Happy to give them the serenity of my being able to take care of everything for them, working with my partners from around the world.
