I just learned about this website from a friend. And - it's addictive.
What is WindowSwap? Here's what they post on their about link.
Let's face it. We are all stuck indoors.
And it's going to be a while till we travel again.
Window Swap is here to fill that deep void in our wanderlust hearts by allowing us to look through someone else's window, somewhere in the world, for a while.
A place on the internet where all we travel hungry fools share our 'window views' to help each other feel a little bit better till we can (responsibly) explore our beautiful planet again.
Let’s travel without moving. Let’s WindowSwap.
It's a neat website that has you clicking to open a new window around the world. And - it's not "live." I guess they need safeguards to ensure people aren't streaming porn, crimes, violence etc, and they have people submit videos to be vetted.
So, while that pesky virus is still lurking around , and we wait for the vaccine, open a window around the world - and let's get dreaming about where you'd like to go.

Northwest Territories - Northern Lights

One of my western colleagues at Vision Travel has put together a really special group to visit the Northern Lights in Northwest Territories this March.
Actually, she put together this small group with a reknown Canadian wildlife photographer, Dr. Wayne Lynch, around the Equinox with March 18-23, 2021. It quickly sold out.
She's now looking to do a second week of March 24-29, 2021. It only goes ahead if the advisories are lifted.
.
• She’s designing it to align with the Equinox to see the Northern Lights in Yellowknife.
• Apparently, it’s one of the top 3 places in the world to see Northern Lights.
• It’s going to be around 10 people (if interest goes as expected, and she may add second week).
• The photographer she is working with is a well-known Canadian wildlife specialist too, Dr. Wayne Lynch. http://waynelynch.ca/welcome.html
• Lynch has done a number of photography trips with a US company and the University of Calgary, and my colleague knows him quite well.
• My colleague has built a flyer with everything , for the first trip for March 18-23, 2021. The Equinox is March 21st. And is updating for March24-29
• She’s reconfirming the last bits together on the pricing for the second week, but it looks like 6d, 5n for about $3600 Cdn/p for double and about $3900 Cdn for solo (excluding air, meals; including 3 Northern Lights Aurora viewing outings and some other special things).
• . A winter gear package is available.
• The trip only goes ahead if advisories lifted – and – if not, trip can be moved to March 2022.
• (By the way, the advisories would be those limiting travel between Ontario and North West Territories. See https://time-to-travel.ca/where-canadians-can-travel-now )

We had a great "live" presentation with our partners Pleasant Holidays and Journese as they streamed live from The Brando located on the private island of Tetiaroa.
It was an incredible virtual event with spectacular views, white-sand beaches, relaxing activities, and more!
