Canada is now over 50% of the full population vaccinated! Woo hoo!
Golf courses and tennis courts are re-opening in Ontario, vaccines are now open to 12 and over, and we have the premier announcing a 3 phase return to public gatherings and restaurants. Yay!
With the new hope, and this slow return to normal (well, let's reach for better, as Michelle Norris says), travel bookings are starting to return as well. I've had a very busy week not just booking and rebooking older holidays that had to be postponed for CoVid - now, Canadians and Americans are booking new holidays.

Lush Life - Share a Travel Memory - this travel Tuesday, I'm turning the tables, and asking you to share a travel memory. Hope you can join me for Travel Tuesday on May 25th at 5 pm edt (rescheduled from May 18th.).
I'm inviting you to join us for an interactive zoom call. As we weather this latest iteration/ extension of stay-at-home orders to finally wrestle this CoVid monster to the ground, join us to share one or two of your favourite travel memories with us.
Tell a story, show us a photo, relive some food or adventure journeys, share an experience. The floor is yours.
Travel Trivia from May 11th
You'll need to either watch two windows on your laptop/ pc, or use two devices - one to see the questions asked with multiple choice answers given (or true or false), the other to enter your answer. Once you hit "play," Kahoot games will give you a pin to enter for other players (presuming you are the host). You enter the pin on the second screen/ device to track your answers.

Natural wonders and great golf greens keep Anne Toal and Paul Brisson on the go.
After a canceled flight on their honeymoon in Greece 32 years ago, Anne Toal and Paul Brisson of Ontario, Canada, were stranded in Corfu and missed boarding their cruise in Athens. They scrambled to change plans and meet up with it in Crete. Their ship eventually came in, Anne explains, but it reinforced with these practical- minded travelers –
they both spent their careers as actuaries – the need to avert misadventure by planning with an experienced and reputable travel advisor. Both now 61 and retired, they explore prodigiously, with nary a hiccup, thanks to Virtuoso advisor Sheila Gallant-Halloran.

Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo

This week, I did a great @virtuosoltd pop up training on Monaco, and I was talking to reps from this hotel, the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. The Grand Prix was starting, and the excitement (and sounds of motors) was in the air.
It also is only 2nd to Vienna for most green spaces in Europe!

How to Navigate our Uncertain Future
This is a great 17 minute Ted Talk that I cam across when my Virtuoso luxury travel network told me to check out April Rinne.
She talks about how the life she planned got immediately upended by tragedy, and how she was forced to rethink her life and her plans in an instant.
The pandemic has affected us all, at different levels of personal and professional impact. But April's message to "let go of the future", and free yourself of the expectations you had held, is positive, and it opens you up for what might be ahead for you.
I'd highly recommend you give it a watch. It's positive and hope-filled.
We will all weather this storm.
COVID-19 Vaccination- Canada's position in the world
Canada has come on strong with 49% (actually, we're now over 50% today) of full population having received their first vaccine, and % rates exceeding the US (at 48%) for the first time (using NY Times numbers from Friday.)
Our numbers will only increase as our vaccine availability increases, as vaccine clinics across Ontario (and Canada) have appointments fully booked within minutes of opening. The demand is outstripping the supply. Hopefully, our second vaccine rates will pick up as our vaccine availability does too.
