It's THE RE-OPENING !
There is lots of news this week.
It started with me being interviewed by Canadian travel Baxter Media about what it's like to be a travel advisor right now. https://travelcourier.ca/hows-it-going-really/ The craziness of the workload in ensuring all my travelling clients are
entering, transiting, testing, proving their vaccination status, enjoying (the most important part), and then returning home safely has been wild. I can't wait for things to settle down a little. But - the great news is that my clients are travelling again.
There are a few big pieces of news this week - especially from the US for Canadian travellers.
1.) The U.S. is to open their border to fully vaccinated travellers starting November 8th - see the news article here https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/us-canada-border-november-8-1.6212093

This is great news for a lot of my clients who like to vacation in the states, especially snowbirds and clients who like to cruise on US cruise lines. We're re-opening!

Canadians Travelling with Unvaxxed Kids
|
There's hoping that the vaccination threshold will edge back to kids under 12. But for those hoping to travel this festive period over December and January, you'll likely have to deal with the existing rules.

Group Trips Being Developed
The AMA Waterways group to France is back on for November 2021, as is the long stay (8 weeks) to Portugal for January & February 2022. Let me know if you'd like info. I have special set ups for solo travelers too.
For Portugal, I have an 8 week package Jan.25.22-Mar.3.22 available for Faro, Portugal - with air for Ottawa folks (or we can do Toronto as well, and/or land only).
The package includes:
- International flight to Faro with Air Canada/Air Transat in economy class including 1 piece of luggage without fee.
- Private transfers as per the itinerary with English speaking assistance

The two trips are September 7-18, 2022 for a tour of Newfoundland & Labrador, and then another on May 29-June 10, 2023 for a tour of Newfoundland & Labrador with Iceberg Festival.
