1. Our Home & Native Land

Canada is a beautiful country.
I've never been more aware of that than over this past week, as I've been booking clients to see different parts of our country. And, we've been travelling from coast to coast.
For example, this magnificent resort in British Columbia called the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort. Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is a Relais & Châteaux all-inclusive eco-safari resort destination located near Tofino on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Australian luxury resort contingency Baillie Lodges announced its first foray into international markets with Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge joining the unique collection of luxury lodges. (Maybe you've heard of Silky Oaks Lodge, Longitude 131, or Huka Lodge.) And they've brought this luxury lodge excellence to the beautiful Canadian wilderness.
The lodge reopens on May 12th. It has attracted all the big celebrities (from Lady Gaga to Ryan Reynolds) and has some famous celebrities living close by (Sarah McLaughlin - please let me know if you're a fan, there are rumours of a pending private concert coming up at the resort).
And, an earlier planned Northern Lights trip to the Northwest Territories looks like it's going ahead in 3 weeks. Northwest Territories just announced they'll re-open to tourists on March 1st. So, the previously planned trip with wildlife photographer and nature
specialist is going ahead on March 19th. We have 2 rooms available. Let me know if you'd like a last minute trip. (See details at link.)

The 1st step of my process is to get to know you. I delve into your travel preferences , interests, and must-haves. https://lushlife.ca/our-process/
I learn about your past travel experiences (what went well, what could be improved), and probe your desires and interests for this trip.
By having you complete a survey, we have you start to sketch out your desired bucket list experience, and we work together to flesh out details.
I like to schedule a 30 minute discovery/ consultation call. Then comes the collaboration, design, reserving, and finally experiencing (followed by sharing, when you return).
But during this discovery/ consultation call, we get to the heart of what your trip is meant to do in terms of your needs and interests; and what memories you'd like to bring home.
During our call, we’ll review your travel history, needs and interests for this trip, etc., and I review how I work.
Kindly note the consultation is complimentary – but I’ll only begin work on your holiday once you have hired me (with a service agreement, outlining the work you'd like me to carry out, and outlining my due process).
As a member of your professional management team (like your wealth advisor or attorney), I do charge professional fees. The exact fees will change, based on the scope of the work needed, and the manhours involved. And I will review that with you during our call. As well I will be sharing not only why you should work with a travel advisor, but why you should specifically
work with me at Lush Life Travel.

my partners in destination, and your elevated experience.

4. Stand with Ukraine - Ways to Help

We are living through difficult days.
If you are looking for ways to not feel so helpless about what is happening in Ukraine, find a way to support Ukrainian owned businesses where you live.

5. Watch "Inventing Anna" - Power of Hotel Concierge

If you want to take a break from the news this Sunday, I recommend you find "Inventing Anna."
As the Netflix overview states: This whole story is completely true. Except for all of the parts that are totally made up. Created by Shondaland, Inventing Anna, starring Emmy Award-Winning actress, Julia Garner, premieres February 11 only on Netflix.
It's incredible to see what Anna got away with. And - it certainly underscores the power of a hotel concierge - as anyone who works in travel can certainly tell you.

March 1st 5 pm est - Lush Life & Travel Trivia - join Sheila for a fun travel trivia game. Come join us for a friendly competition about travel trivia. See how much you know, and compete against other players.
Sheila will create another game to play on kahoot, so you'll need to either watch two windows on your laptop/ pc, or use two devices - one to see the questions asked with multiple choice answers given (or true or false), the other to enter your answer.
Kahoot games (once struck) will give you a pin to enter and play. That's entered on the second screen/ device to track your answers.
