1. Tahitian Sunsets
I'm just back from Tahiti early Saturday morning, and all I can say is, WOW!
We spent oodles of time in the ocean, jumping off our overwater bungalow platform- and in evening, met the President of Tahiti at the Presidential Palace for a Virtuoso Travel cruise icon event.
We learned how to make coconut hats, discovered Tahitian pearls, created our own essential oil perfume, enjoyed amazing dancers and performers, savored local food, and indulged in tropical drinks. Quite an astounding beginning, and as hard as it is to believe, it only
got better each day!
We boarded the cruise, and things were incredible onboard. As we were celebrating my Cruise Icon designation, and my daughter's high school graduation, I let her pick all the shore excursions.
The first day was in Moorea, and it was astonishing. Moorea snorkel excursion? We call it fin-tastic!
Sea creatures galore, from little Dory's to bigger Nemos to giant stingrays, all swimming in a cozy 84F teal blue ocean (sharks included, no extra charge)
I'll share a little more about stops in Raitea, Bora Bora, and Huahine next week. But let me tell you - if you like water and adventure, this is the trip for you! I was blown away!
